Notification No.16/2022-Central Excise dated July 15, 2022.:

Government amends Notification No. 11/2017-CE to extend 2% concessional rate of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) on 10 RCS routes till December 8th, 2022 and 7 RCS routes till February 7, 2023 respectively. 




Circular No. 1084/05/2022-CX dated July 7, 2022:

CBIC issues clarifications regarding excisability of waste/ residue arising during the process of manufacture; Clarifies that Circular 1027/15/2016-CX dated April 25, 2016 has been held to be unsustainable by the Supreme Court in UOI vs Indian Sucrose Ltd wherein it was held that Bagasse is non-excisable to which CENVAT credit rules have no application; Therefore, rescind the said Circular and directs that case kept in call book may be taken out and adjudicated in light of law decided by the Apex Court.
