CBIC introduces direct Duty Drawback disbursements via Public Finance Management System (PFMS) starting June 5
Instruction No. 15/2024-Customs dated May 29, 2024
CBIC issues instruction regarding the disbursal of drawback amounts into the exporters account through Public Finance Management System (PFMS) from June 5, 2024 onwards; Apprises that the current process of processing duty drawback claims through the Customs Automated System (CAS) and printing Drawback Scroll for onward transmission to authorised Bank for issuing a consolidated cheque amount will be discontinued; In its place, informs that, payments will be made through PFMS with the following procedure:-(i) Authorized officers at each Customs location will process Duty Drawback scroll queues, (ii) CAS will automatically send these scrolls to the Central Nodal electronic Drawing and Disbursing Officer (eDDO), who will forward the consolidated All India Duty Drawback Scroll to the nodal electronic Pay and Accounts Office (ePAO), (iii) drawback amounts will be credited to exporters' bank accounts linked with PFMS after approval by the nodal ePAO: CBIC
