45% respondents saw an attitudinal change in senior functionaries (Commissioner level and above), shows survey conducted by FICCI along with KPMG (on CBEC's request); 51% acknowledged an improvement at the ground level, at the level of inspectors and above; Further, ‘Customs Single Window Project’ proved to be CBEC’s most outstanding achievement which lead to improvement in customs clearance process, and same was agreed to by 76% respondents; Similarly, positive responses were received for processing of refunds, legislative changes in warehousing provisions and Make in India Initiative; FICCI and KPMG have also given ‘wish list’ of respondents to CBEC, some of which includes focus on tax evaders and simplification of procedures
